about
Heel pain can have a huge impact on our ability to live our daily lives.

There are many possible causes of this type of pain. The most common causes are plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Plantar fasciitis is caused by an inflammation of the fascia (ligaments) that run from the heel and up under the arch of the foot. This inflammation can cause significant pain. A heel spur is a bony protrusion. These spurs are often caused by an ongoing or reoccurring inflammation or strain of the muscles and ligaments surrounding the heel, most commonly plantar fasciitis. This causes a calcium deposit under the bone of the heel which then turns into a bony protrusion. Our podiatrists will conduct an assessment and then use a targeted approach to treat your symptoms and the underlying cause of the pain.
