Shockwave therapy is now available at The Foot Folk!
Our new radial shockwave machine is up and running at our Narre Warren clinic and ready to help with your chronic musculoskeletal pain, as well as conditions that haven’t responded to traditional treatment methods such as ice, stretching and exercises.
How does Shockwave work?
Shockwave works by sending a pressure pulse through the affected area and this energy supply helps stimulate tissue repair, reduces pain & inflammation, and improves mobility. This technique is non-invasive and is most effective with a treatment plan of 3-6 sessions.
What conditions can it help?
Some of the conditions that shockwave therapy can be used on include:
-
- • Plantar fasciitis
-
- • Chronic heel pain
-
- • Achilles tendonitis
-
- • Shin Splints
- • Recurring ankle sprains
How can I receive shockwave treatment?
Book an appointment with our podiatrist at our Narre Warren clinic. They will do a full assessment of your condition and pain to determine if the Shockwave therapy will be an effective treatment method. From there the podiatrist will organise your treatment schedule as well as discuss other treatment options available to you.
For any questions/enquiries before booking an appointment fill out the enquiries box and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
