about
A Biomechanical assessment provides your podiatrist with a thorough and systematic way to assess the function your lower limbs.

As part of a biomechanical assessment our podiatrists will conduct a gait assessment which will help to identify any possible abnormalities that could be causing pain or instability in your foot. The assessment includes an analysis of your hip, knee, and ankle joints as well as the foot to check joint mobility, joint strength, alignment, and positioning. Your assessment will also look at muscle strength to identify if there are any muscular imbalances or weaknesses. This full assessment can be used to help treat injury, elevate pain, and improve posture and gait.
